My hosting plan hadn’t even expired yet — and suddenly, Bluehost China shut down its servers!
I haven’t updated the site lately because I’ve been busy migrating everything. Bluehost China announced that all products and services hosted on their Hong Kong servers would be discontinued on October 10, 2025. After that date, users would lose access to their order management, data, and related features.
I’ve talked before about several good WordPress hosting options, and Bluehost was one of them. The main reason I originally chose Bluehost China was its Hong Kong location — the connection speed from mainland China was much faster. Unfortunately, that’s all gone now.
When choosing a new hosting provider, my main criteria were: fast loading speed, great value, and low technical complexity.
After a few comparisons, I finally went with Hostinger’s Cloud Startup plan.
✨ Pros:
- Price: I got the best discount by purchasing a 4‑year plan — it averages less than $6.4 per month.
- Value: Comes with a dedicated IP (important for speed and stability). Much better performance than most shared hosting options.
- Specs: 2 cores, 3 GB RAM, 100 GB storage, daily backups, free SSL, free CDN, free domain, and unlimited bandwidth.
- Beginner-friendly: The dashboard is easy to use, even for non-technical entrepreneurs. Perfect for small to medium websites.
- Convenience: All my domains are on Cloudflare, so switching the IP address was effortless. The only trick — when issuing an SSL certificate via Hostinger, disable the orange cloud on Cloudflare temporarily, then turn it back on after setup. Keep Cloudflare SSL/TLS in “Full (strict)” mode.
- Migration: Hostinger’s migration service is pretty smooth.
⚠️ Cons: No phone support and the live chat can be slow — but for the price, I can live with that.
🔴 Real performance test: After migration, my site speed tripled.

It gives you an extra 20% off on top of the Black Friday discount.
